Put simply, Out & About aims to find ways to help you remain independent and live life to the full.
Out & About is Deborah McCallum’s first retail venture. She’s always had an interest in healthcare and her previous career has involved periods working for healthcare providers. She became particularly involved with the issues involved in independent living whilst caring for elderly relatives. “Although I thought I was pretty clued up, when it came to looking for advice to help elderly relatives and friends who wanted to keep living at home and looking after themselves, I realised just how difficult it could be for those needing help and for those helping to care for them. All of a sudden you find yourself in a completely new world where all the things you have taken for granted no longer seem to hold.
To ensure you receive the best possible advice, Out & About likes to work in partnership with others who help – GPs, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists or other specialists.
The range of products stocked include riser-recliner chairs, adjustable beds; mobility scooters; powerchairs through to bathing and dressing aids .
“But of course it’s not just about providing advice and products to meet the needs of customers, it’s also about ensuring customers have the security of knowing that if something breaks down the problem can be sorted quickly. If anything should go wrong with any piece of equipment anybody already has or which they buy, because we’re a local business we’re on hand to provide assistance and to service, repair or replace your equipment as quickly and efficiently as possible. “
Out & About operates within a 20 mile radius of Alton, covering Haslemere, Fernhurst, Hindhead , Grayshott to the east; Farnham, Aldershot, Camberley and Fleet to the north and Petersfield, Liss and Liphook to the south.

When grandma broke her leg , the doctor advised us to take special chairs for the bathroom and so on, but we had no idea where to search for them. Happily we heard about this company - Out & About and I have to say that they provided us with all needed , gave us advice what will be really useful and I am very very pleased with their service and attitude!
